“Doc, Use Me as Your Guinea Pig!” – The Secret Origin of the Bi-NALI Surgery

Hello everyone! Today, I’d like to share a very personal story. It’s about how our signature procedure, the “BINALI Surgery,” actually came to life.

The name “BI-NALI” might sound a bit unfamiliar because it’s a unique term we created and trademarked. With our research paper recently accepted into an international medical journal, I felt it was finally the right time to share the “behind-the-scenes” story of this technique. It all started 8 years ago with a very bold request from a patient.

🏥 “A Forehead Reduction? But… I’ve never done one before!”

Eight years ago, a long-time patient of mine visited the clinic. She was a bright, easy-going young woman who had already been very happy with her previous facial contouring and eyebrow lift results from me. But this time, she wanted something different: a Forehead Reduction.

At that time, I hadn’t performed a forehead reduction before. I decided to be completely honest with her.

Me: “To be honest, I’ve never actually performed a forehead reduction surgery.” Patient: “Oh come on, Doc! With your skills, I’m sure you know exactly how it’s done.” Me: “Well, I know the theory, but practicing it is a different story. You should probably see a specialist.” Patient: “No way! Just use me as your first case. I trust you!”

Thanks to her “fearless” trust, I performed my very first forehead reduction. Since I had over 15 years of experience with forehead lifts, the surgery went surprisingly smooth and clean. A week later, she was thrilled with the results, even telling me I should “switch my specialty” to forehead surgery!

But the real plot twist happened three months later.

🧐 “Doc, my eyebrows won’t come down!”

Three months post-op, she came back with a worried look. “The forehead looks great, but my eyebrows are sitting way too high! I look a bit… blank.”

I was puzzled. According to medical theory, the eyebrows should have naturally settled into a lower position over time. But 6 months, then a year, and even 2 years passed—and those eyebrows wouldn’t budge. Even Botox didn’t help.

I spent countless nights analyzing the cause. Then it hit me. Because she had a previous “Endoscopic Eyebrow Lift,” the released tissues had reacted to the new tension from the forehead reduction, causing the eyebrows to stay “locked” in a high position.

Turning a Crisis into a Breakthrough: The Birth of ‘BINALI’

That challenging experience became my greatest teacher. I poured myself into research to find a solution:

  • How to lower the hairline while precisely controlling the eyebrow position.
  • How to achieve a smaller forehead without compromising a natural expression.

This led to the creation of the ‘BINALI’ technique. [Bidirectional Narrowing of Forehead and Lifting of Eyebrow]

It’s a “two-way” approach that solves two problems at once: it narrows the forehead while simultaneously lifting (or positioning) the eyebrows to the perfect spot. After verifying the results through long-term follow-ups, our unique technique was finally recognized by the international medical community.

💬 “Why don’t other clinics offer this surgery?”

This is a question I get a lot during consultations. My answer is simple:

  1. I had a brave patient who trusted me with a surgery I was doing for the first time.
  2. I had the chance to track the results long-term (for over 2 years).
  3. Instead of avoiding a complication, I faced it head-on and turned it into a new technology.

‘BINALI’ is more than just a surgery name; it’s a result of trust, persistence, and years of clinical dedication. If you’re struggling with a wide forehead or sagging brows, the answer might just be “BINALI”
