Case Review – Full Facial Contour Trio, 8 Year Follow Up

In this post, I would like to share a real-life patient case study from my practice. The patient underwent a “Full Facial Contour Trio” (3-item contouring), and we will be looking at her transformation by comparing her pre-operative photos with her results 8 years later.

Surgery Details (Performed in 2016):

• V-Line Mandibuloplasty: Jaw reduction combined with chin lengthening.

• Zygoma (Cheekbone) Reduction.

• Temporal Reduction: To narrow the upper face width.

 

The Surgical Plan:

Before the procedure, the patient had a wide facial width relative to a shorter vertical length, giving her face a square-shaped appearance. To address this, we planned a combination of cheekbone, temporal, and jaw reduction to slim down the overall width. Additionally, we performed chin lengthening to balance out her proportions and refine her profile.

Long-term Results (8 Years Post-Op):

 

The patient was 23 years old at the time of surgery and recently returned for a follow-up at age 31.

      

Even after 8 years—transitioning from her early 20s to her early 30s—there are no visible signs of sagging (ptosis). In fact, because her facial structure is more refined and compact compared to before, she actually appears younger and more rejuvenated than she did eight years ago.
